Won Bin chosen as the movie star who helped 2011 shine the most
[22/12/2011] Despite the fact that actor Won Bin did not participate in any movie or drama production during 2011, he has managed to grab the title of the best movie star who helped 2011 shine.
Korean Gallup conducted a survey from November 18th to December 6th where 1,728 people over 13 years of age, participated to choose the 'movie star who helped shine 2011'. The first place winner was none other than Won Bin who collected 11.3% of the total votes.
Runner-up came to Park Hae Il who received 9.5%. According to reports, Won Bin was popular among young participants in their teens and 20s, while Park Hae Il's majority voters were in their 30s and 40s.
Other winners included Jang Dong Gun(8.8%), Kim Ha Neul(8.2%), Gong Yoo(5.8%), Lee Byung Hun(4.8%), Ha Ji Won(3.1%), Ahn Sung Ki(3%), and Han Suk Kyu(3%).
Won Bin also came in 1st place for this exact same survey in 2010.
In related news, actor Hyun Bin grabbed 1st place for a similar survey that asked, 'Which drama star helped 2011 shine the most?' The two 'Bins' seem to be favorites among movie and drama-goers.

Won Bin Tops Best Actor Poll for 2011
[22/12/2011] 2011 is Won Bin's year. The actor topped the Gallup Korea poll for "Best Actor" for the second year in a row. Won Bin received 11.3% of the votes to take home the top spot.
The survey was conducted over two months with over 1,700 male and female respondents, ages 13 and up. Won Bin showed his popularity and reputation as a top actor with this win, despite no new projects in 2011. Won Bin's last film was 2010's "The Man from Nowhere."
Gallup Korea reports Park Hae Il came in second, garnering 9.5% of the votes. Jang Dong Gun rose to the third spot, "Blind's" Kim Ha Neul came in at fourth, and "The Crucible's" Gong Yoo at fifth. Rounding out the top 10 are Lee Byung Hun, Song Kang Ho, Ha Ji Won, Ahn Sung Ki and Han Seuk Kyu.
Past "Best Actor" from Gallup Korea include Lee Byung Hun (2009), Song Kang Ho (2008) and Jeon Do Yeon (2007).

According to the Gallup’s analysis, the handsome actor Won Bin received great support from teenagers (24.3%) and the twenty-somethings (18.4%), and the actor Park Hae Il with a friendly image obtained great support from the thirty-somethings (17.7%) and the forty-somethings (10.6%). Actor Jang Dong Gun, who was listed second, dropped to third, but he is the only actor who has been included in the top five for four consecutive years. Anonymous Actress Called Han Chae Young, Won Bin, and Lee Jung Jin "Those Things"
[29/12/2011] Actor Lee Jung Jin recently revealed some shocking news regarding how he, Han Chae Young, and Won Bin were looked down upon.
On the episode of SBS's "Strong Heart" that aired on December 27, Lee Jung Jin revealed that during his early acting days at an acting school, he was called "that thing."
He said, "When I was attending an acting school, I was studying with two other students, and we were taught as a group of three. At the time, a Miss Korea contestant who wanted to become an actresss registered at the same school as us."
According to Lee Jung Jin, the actress, in front of all three trainees, said to someone, "Oppa, do I have to work with these things?" Of course, upon hearing this, the three were shocked, but could not say anything.
After this, Lee Jung Jin revealed that "those things" were actually Han Chae Young and Won Bin, two of the most famous actors in the Korean acting industry. The guest cast of "Strong Heart" was appalled and knocked off its feet. I'm having a hard time believing this myself. How could anyone call Han Chae Young and Won Bin "those things"?!
